At Dr. Monica Gobran & Associates, we recommend all of our patients follow the American Dental Association's guidelines and schedule professional dental cleanings at least twice a year, even if you maintain a steady home care routine of brushing and flossing daily. Using advanced tools, a professional dental cleaning eliminates plaque and tartar from your teeth before polishing them for a brighter, healthier smile. After your appointment, you can get tips from our staff on better home oral care and learn if there are any areas that may need extra attention. During your dental cleaning, our lead dentist, Dr. Monica Gobran, will assess your mouth for any problem areas that might require treatment. Having a dental cleaning is a crucial part of maintaining your oral health so schedule appointments for your family at our Worcester, MA office.

To start, a member of our oral care team will use our advanced cleaning tools to remove tartar and plaque deposits, which can build up on the tooth enamel, even with regular brushing and flossing. We do this using a sophisticated ultrasonic device that is capable of vibrating at high speeds, allowing us to gently remove built-up deposits without causing harm to the teeth. Handheld tools, such as a scaler or a curette, may be used to carefully eliminate any remaining plaque or tartar. Once each tooth has been cleaned and examined, the enamel will be polished to add strength and remove any set-in stains. A fluoride treatment may be added to your cleaning as needed (or at your request).

I had to leave my old dentist of 34 years due to moving and to find one that was closer to me, as we all know it is one of the harder things to do. Dr. Gobran's team made this a very easy and enjoyable transition. They did such a great job that I felt right at home and didn't even realize I was not at my old dentist. The front desk was friendly and welcoming, the staff was great explaining what needed to be done and why, and my cleaning was top notch! Would recommend this office in a heart beat!
